Equipped with the right applications, a computer can be of great help in virtually any domain of activity. When it comes to designing and precision, no other tool is as accurate as a computer. Moreover, specialized applications such as AutoCAD give you the possibility to design nearly anything ranging from art, to complex mechanical parts or even buildings.
Suitable for business environments and experienced users
After a decent amount of time spent installing the application on your system, you are ready to fire it up. Thanks to the office suite like interface, all of its features are cleverly organized in categories. At a first look, it looks easy enough to use, but the abundance of features it comes equipped with leaves room for second thoughts.
Create 2D and 3D objects
You can make use of basic geometrical shapes to define your objects, as well as draw custom ones. Needless to say that you can take advantage of a multitude of tools that aim to enhance precision. A grid can be enabled so that you can easily snap elements, as well as adding anchor points to fully customize shapes.
With a little imagination and patience on your behalf, nearly anything can be achieved. Available tools allow you to create 3D objects from scratch and have them fully enhanced with high-quality textures. A powerful navigation pane is put at your disposal so that you can carefully position the camera to get a clearer view of the area of interest.
Various export possibilities
Similar to a modern web browser, each project is displayed in its own tab. This comes in handy, especially for comparison views. Moreover, layouts and layers also play important roles, as it makes objects handling a little easier.
Sine the application is not the easiest to carry around, requiring a slightly sophisticated machine to properly run, there are several export options put at your disposal so that the projects itself can be moved around.
Aside from the application specific format, you can save as an image file of multiple types, PDF, FBX and a few more. Additionally, it can be sent via email, directly printed out on a sheet of paper, or even sent to a 3D printing service, if available.
To end with
All in all, AutoCAD remains one of the top applications used by professionals to achieve great precision with projects of nearly any type. It encourages usage with incredible offers for student licenses so you get acquainted with its abundance of features early on. A lot can be said about what it can and can't do, but the true surprise lies in discovering it step-by-step.

Since 2014, a New AutoCAD program release cycles are based on the four-year Calendar Model (1008, 2108, etc.) and a New Product Number (NP-xyz) structure. This will release a new program every December and October. AutoCAD continues to improve in design and functionality while maintaining backward compatibility with previous releases. The latest AutoCAD 2016 was released in September 2016.
What is AutoCAD?
AutoCAD is a computer-aided design (CAD) application and an acronym for AutoCad Architecture and Design Workstation. It was developed and marketed by Autodesk.
History and development of AutoCAD
AutoCAD was developed by Dr. Marc Moritz and introduced in December 1982. Dr. Moritz developed the new application in a time when AutoCAD was only available for the Xerox Alto computer. The desktop software ran on a Macintosh II, and then a Macintosh Plus and then an Apple IIgs.
The first version of AutoCAD was known as AutoCAD-3D. It was released on April 27, 1983 and ran on a real-time, high-resolution, internally-graphics-programmable graphic board. The onboard graphics board was capable of producing up to 16,384 horizontal and vertical dots per inch (dpi). The user would enter the drawing, manipulate the objects and the drawing would be stored on the board itself, a first for the time. The board had its own microprocessor, and was not connected to the mainframe computer. It can be used with Mac, PC, and Unix computers and even with microcomputers.
It is available in four versions: AutoCAD 2D; AutoCAD 3D; AutoCAD LT; and AutoCAD R13.
AutoCAD 2D is the original software for AutoCAD. Released in 1985, the software ran on the 3D (3.0)
AutoCAD With Serial Key Download
AutoCAD was first available as a DOS version of AutoCAD LT for the IBM PC family, which was released in 1986. The first release of AutoCAD for Macintosh was version 1.0 in 1987, which used the same graphical user interface (GUI) as its DOS version. Version 1.5 was the first release of AutoCAD for the Microsoft Windows platform, released in 1989.
The first version of AutoCAD for Windows was 1.5 and used an integrated development environment (IDE) to help programmers get up to speed with AutoCAD. In 1990, the first version of AutoCAD for Windows that did not use an IDE was 1.7. This version was an early adopter of the Windows 3.1 graphical user interface (GUI). It featured a graphical programming mode in the drawing window, with graphical symbols for blocks, lines, arcs, curves, and text.
The first major revision to AutoCAD for Windows was 1.8 in 1994, which used a new graphical programming environment. Version 2.0 was released in 1995 and used an integrated development environment (IDE). It also had a powerful code editor.
AutoCAD 2002 was the first release of AutoCAD for Windows XP to be fully compatible with the Windows XP operating system. It is also the first release of AutoCAD to use a Graphical User Interface (GUI).
The first version of AutoCAD for Windows that supported the Windows Vista operating system was AutoCAD 2007, which was released in 2006. AutoCAD 2007 also includes the first release of AutoCAD to use Microsoft Visual Studio.NET 2005, Microsoft Visual C# 2005, Microsoft Visual Basic.NET 2005, and Microsoft Visual Studio 2005.
AutoCAD 2010 is the first release of AutoCAD for Windows 7 and includes the first release of AutoCAD to use Microsoft Visual C# 2008 and Microsoft Visual Basic 2008.
AutoCAD 2011 is the first release of AutoCAD for Windows 8 and uses the new Visual Studio 2012 and Visual Basic 2012 as its underlying programming environment. It is also the first release of AutoCAD to use Microsoft Silverlight.
AutoCAD 2013 was the first release of AutoCAD for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. It is also the first release of AutoCAD to use Microsoft Visual Studio 2012.
AutoCAD 2014 is the first release of AutoCAD for Windows 8.1 and Windows
The world’s most famous charity has received more donations in the past week than it did in all of 2016
Unicef is the largest international charity, and it is currently the world’s most valuable brand. So, it’s not surprising that it recently launched a ‘celebration’ of its success, and a video. But perhaps it should have taken a while to celebrate. The world’s most famous charity has received more donations in the past week than it did in all of 2016.
So where did the money come from?
Over £40 million was donated to Unicef in 2017. £10.9m was from the public – that’s more than in the previous three years combined. Public donations accounted for 10% of total donations in the year, the highest proportion for the charity in a decade.
The remaining 90% of donations came from Unicef’s partners. These include the government and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, but also countless other individuals and businesses. Many Unicef partners are active in local communities, helping with everything from cleaning up the local area to providing access to water and sanitation.
Unicef is very grateful to all of the businesses who have supported the charity, and to the donors who give to the charity to help the people around the world.
What did Unicef do with all of the money?
Unicef has over 190 country programmes. These programmes range from clean water and sanitation to malaria and the World Health Organisation.
In South Africa, Unicef works to ensure that every child in South Africa has a safe place to sleep at night and enough to eat. It helps to reduce the spread of HIV and other infections, and it invests in the local economy to ensure that programmes can last longer.
Unicef works with the government in Colombia to support community health, including providing an extra month of paid maternity leave for mothers who choose to breastfeed their babies. And it also helps people who suffer from malnutrition, and support the management of HIV and AIDS.
Unicef helps children in South Africa.
What do Unicef’s partners think?
This is a fantastic milestone for the charity. It has received so many donations in the last week that we are very much inspired to continue helping as many children and families in as many countries as possible.
